A quiet defence of the boring week
Nothing happened this week. I want to write that down as an achievement rather than a confession.
I cooked four dinners. I fixed the tap. I finished a book I had been pretending to read since January. My friend called and we talked about nothing for fifty minutes.
Somewhere there is a version of me that would call this a wasted week. He is very tired and he is wrong.

My own statement on this: a week without events is not a week without a life. The measure is wrong, not the week.
I fully agree with every part of this writing. Nothing needs adding.
